Marc Jacobs, S/S 2011.

Most designers tend to have a certain aesthetic that will one way or another end up appearing in any one of their collections (no matter what the season) Chanel loves tweed, Dolce & Gabbana loves old school Hollywood glamour (& black knickers), Erdem loves digitalised prints and Vivienne Westwood loves punk rock. However, there is one designer, who always manages to do a complete U- turn every season. Marc Jacobs took his audience back to Studio 54 last night, displaying a super glamorous collection fit for THE seventies diva's, Jerry Hall and Bianca Jagger (that's right, it's not just their taste in men they have in common).  Anyway...after his incredibly muted, peasant like collection last season, Jacobs decided to play with colour...a lot.
