LFW: Erdem S/S2012

London Fashion Week is always my favourite of the season and call me bias, but there is no denying, the design talent is second to none. With such an eclectic mix of designers, from Christopher Kane, to Erdem, no two shows are the same, not even a little bit. Besides, London hasn't recently been names fashion capital of the world for nothing.
Whilst I have been enjoying seeing the string of shows since Friday, I have been waiting patiently to see the new Erdem collection. Famed for his prim, ladylike aesthetic, this man can do know wrong as far as I'm concerned, and this season was no exception. This season, he went for a sort of 'Downton Abbey' inspired vibe, sending models down the runway wearing an array of dresses, from strapless knee length affairs, to those clad with digitalised poppy prints and crisp white lace, nicely finished with boater hats, and gloves.
However, even the ladylike lengths and high necklines, could not distract from the fact that this season, the Erdem woman just got sexier, with the sheer lace, figure hugging  dresses, fitted corsets and red stained lips seeping through.
Still, there's no denying, that Erdem remains the undisputed champ of ladylike dressing.
